Proposal and Sunset Yacht Cruise in Miami

Golden hour on Biscayne Bay, the skyline turning pink, and a crew that knows when to step away.

Ver en español

A proposal on a yacht works because it controls the two things that usually go wrong: the light and the audience. You choose the exact moment, the crew keeps out of sight until you signal, and nobody at the next table is filming. A sunset cruise for two, or for a couple with close family waiting below deck, is one of the quieter charters we arrange.

Timing is everything. Miami's sunset moves through the year, from roughly 5:30 pm in early winter to after 8 pm in midsummer, so we set the boarding time from your date rather than a fixed slot. The best skyline view is usually from Biscayne Bay looking west, where the sun drops behind Brickell and downtown.

We can arrange flowers, champagne on ice, a photographer who stays hidden until the question, and a table set on the bow or the aft deck. Tell us your plan and your partner's tastes, and your advisor coordinates the details with the crew in advance so you only need to bring the ring.

How we plan a proposal on board

Golden-hour timing

Boarding is set about an hour and a half before sunset for your date, so you reach open water as the light turns warm.

A discreet crew

The captain and crew are briefed beforehand and stay out of the way until you give the signal.

Flowers and champagne

Roses on the bow, a bottle on ice and a simple table setting can be arranged on request and itemized in your quote.

Hidden photographer

We can book a photographer who waits out of sight and captures the moment and the reaction from the right angle.

Skyline from the bay

Anchoring in Biscayne Bay puts the sun behind Brickell and downtown, with Star Island and the causeways nearby.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a proposal yacht in Miami cost?

A four-hour sunset charter on the 60-foot Supreme is $3,300. The 82-foot Milagros is $5,700 and the 88-foot Princess 88 is $6,000 for four hours. Flowers, champagne, a photographer, gratuity and tax are added as separate lines in your quote.

What time should a sunset cruise start in Miami?

We usually board about ninety minutes before sunset. Miami's sunset ranges from roughly 5:30 pm in early winter to after 8 pm in midsummer, so we set the exact time from your date. Clouds on the horizon can add color, and the captain chooses where to anchor.

Where is the best skyline view for a proposal?

Biscayne Bay, looking west toward Brickell and downtown Miami, is the classic view, with the sun setting behind the towers. Areas near Star Island and Fisher Island also work well. The captain picks the spot on the day based on wind, traffic and light.

Can family hide on board for the proposal?

Yes. Many couples have family or close friends wait in the salon or below deck and come up after the answer. The yachts we feature carry up to 13 guests, except the Princess 88, which carries up to 12, so there is room for a small celebration.

Can you arrange flowers and a photographer?

Yes. On request we arrange flowers, champagne, a photographer or videographer, and a simple dinner on board. Everything is confirmed with the crew in advance and itemized in your quote, so nothing on the day depends on last-minute calls.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Summer afternoons in Miami can bring short storms. The captain makes the final call on safety, and your advisor will discuss options for that yacht, such as adjusting the time or date, before you book, so you know the plan ahead of time.

Plan the proposal

Tell us the date, whether it is just the two of you or a small group, and what you have in mind. An advisor will reply with sunset timing, yacht options and prices.
