Boat Rental in Miami, Captain Included
Rent a crewed boat for the sandbar, a waterfront lunch or a sunset on the bay. No license, no stress.
Looking for a boat rental in Miami? Altrove Yachts arranges crewed boat and yacht rentals from 60 feet, with a licensed captain and crew on every trip, so nobody in your group needs a boating license or any experience. You choose the day, the hours and the plan; the crew takes care of the driving, the anchoring and the safety.
Our most popular starting point is the 60-foot Azimut, which carries up to 13 guests and starts at $2,800 for four hours. Groups that want more space step up to an 82-foot Pershing or an 88-foot Princess, and larger yachts are available for bigger occasions. Every price is confirmed in writing before you book.
We only arrange crewed rentals. If you were looking for a small self-drive boat, a crewed boat is usually the better choice for groups, sandbar days and celebrations: you get a bigger, more comfortable boat, a captain who knows the tides and the anchorages, and nobody has to stay sober to drive.
What a Miami boat rental looks like
Captain and crew included
A licensed captain runs the boat and the crew handles the lines, anchoring and service, so your group can simply enjoy the day.
No license needed
Because the captain drives, no one in your group needs a boating license or experience on the water.
Sandbars and swimming
Spend the afternoon at the Haulover or Nixon sandbar, swim in shallow clear water and use the boat's water toys.
Lunch by boat
Arrive by water at waterfront restaurants on the Miami River or in Coconut Grove; we confirm dock space for your date.
Up to 13 guests
Most boats we book carry up to 13 guests. Larger groups can book two boats that cruise together.
Clear, itemized pricing
The rate, gratuity, tax, APA and any repositioning fee are listed in your quote before you pay a deposit.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to rent a boat in Miami?
Crewed boat rentals in our fleet start at $2,800 for four hours on a 60-foot Azimut that carries up to 13 guests, with six hours from $3,200 and eight from $3,700. An 82-foot Pershing starts at $5,200 for four hours. Gratuity, tax, catering and an APA are itemized in your quote.
Do I need a boating license to rent a boat in Miami?
No. Every rental we arrange includes a licensed captain and crew who drive and handle the boat, so no one in your group needs a license or any experience on the water.
Can I rent a small boat and drive it myself?
We only arrange crewed rentals with a captain. For groups, sandbar days and celebrations this is usually the better option: a larger, more comfortable boat, local knowledge of tides and anchorages, and everyone in the group can relax.
How many people can come on a boat rental?
Most boats we book in Miami carry up to 13 guests, which is the usual limit for these charters; the 88-foot Princess carries 12. For larger groups we can book two boats that cruise together.
Where do boat rentals depart from?
Most leave from Miami Beach marinas. Pickups can be arranged as far north as Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach; a repositioning fee applies, set per boat and always included in your quote.
What should we bring?
Reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses, swimwear, a light layer for the evening and ID for every guest. Most boats ask guests to go barefoot on deck, so leave heels at home. We confirm each boat's food, drink and decoration policy before the day.
