Environmental Commitment Disclosure

Altrove Yachts operates as a yacht charter and sales broker, arranging voyages on behalf of our clients with independent, third-party vessel owners and crews. We do not own or operate the watercraft featured on this site. Because of that, our influence on any single vessel’s environmental footprint is indirect — but we take that responsibility seriously in how we select partners and advise clients.
Vessel Partner Standards
We prioritize charter partners and vessel owners who maintain their yachts to current marine safety and environmental standards, including proper waste, wastewater, and fuel handling in accordance with MARPOL and local port authority requirements. Where clients have a preference for hybrid propulsion, lower-emission engines, or newer, more fuel-efficient tonnage, our concierge team will prioritize matching vessels accordingly.
Marine & Coastal Awareness
- We brief guests on responsible anchoring practices to avoid damage to reef and seagrass habitats at popular destinations.
- We encourage reef-safe, biodegradable sunscreen and personal care products onboard.
- We ask crews to avoid single-use plastics where reusable alternatives are available, and to dispose of all waste at approved shoreside facilities.
- We support itineraries that respect marine protected areas, seasonal wildlife closures, and local conservation guidelines.
Our Operations
Beyond the water, we minimize our own footprint by operating a primarily digital brokerage — contracts, itineraries, and communications are handled electronically rather than on paper, and our team works to consolidate ground transfers and logistics wherever it reduces unnecessary trips.
Continuous Improvement
Sustainability practices in yachting continue to evolve, and so do ours. We periodically review our partner network and onboard guidance to reflect current best practices in marine conservation and fuel efficiency, in coordination with the vessel owners and operators we work with.
A Note on Our Role
Altrove Yachts is a fleet broker and, as such, arranges carriage by sea by simply chartering watercraft from third-party watercraft operators, acting as agent, in the name and on behalf of its customers. Altrove Yachts only acts as an intermediary, does not itself operate watercraft, and is not a contracting or an indirect carrier. Environmental measures described above are applied in coordination with our network partners and are not a guarantee of any individual vessel’s specifications or practices.
