Miami Dock & Dine: Restaurants You Can Reach by Yacht
Lunch or dinner at the water's edge, with the yacht waiting at the dock when you are ready to leave.
Some of Miami's most enjoyable meals are at restaurants that face the water, and a handful have docks where a yacht can tie up while you eat. Arriving by boat turns a meal into the centerpiece of the charter: you cruise in, step ashore, and the crew is ready when you return.
Each part of the bay has a different character. The Miami River is lively and central, Virginia Key looks straight at the Brickell skyline, Coconut Grove is relaxed and leafy, and North Bay Village is casual and close to Miami Beach. This guide covers five spots our clients ask for most.
Dock space is never guaranteed in advance. It depends on the restaurant, the size of the yacht, the tide and the day of the week, so for every booking we contact the restaurant to request dock space and a table for your date. If a yacht is too large for a dock, we suggest a better fit.

Miami River. The best-known boat-in lunch in the city, famous for its social Sunday afternoons. Book early for weekends.
Seaspice
Miami River. A stylish riverside restaurant a short distance from Kiki, popular for long lunches and dinners on the terrace.
Rusty Pelican
Virginia Key. A long-standing favorite on the water with one of the widest views of the downtown and Brickell skyline.
Monty's
Coconut Grove. An easygoing waterfront spot in the Grove, a good fit for a relaxed afternoon after a cruise down the bay.
Shuckers

Frequently asked questions
Which Miami restaurants can you go to by yacht?
The most requested are Kiki on the River and Seaspice on the Miami River, Rusty Pelican on Virginia Key, Monty's in Coconut Grove and Shuckers in North Bay Village. Each has a waterfront setting, and dock access depends on the restaurant, the yacht and the date, which we confirm before you book.
Is dock space at the restaurant guaranteed?
Not until we confirm it. Restaurant docks have limited room and are busiest on weekends. We contact the restaurant to request dock space and your table for your date and only confirm the plan once both are in place. If space is not available, your advisor suggests another restaurant or time.
Can I combine a restaurant with a sandbar or cruise?
Yes, and most groups do. A six-hour charter usually allows a sandbar or a sightseeing cruise plus a relaxed meal ashore. Shuckers pairs well with Haulover in the north, while the Miami River and Virginia Key restaurants pair well with Nixon sandbar and Key Biscayne.
Is dinner by yacht possible as well as lunch?
Often, yes. An evening charter that ends at a waterfront restaurant, or that docks for dinner and cruises home after dark, works well for anniversaries and proposals. Availability of dock space at night varies by restaurant, and we confirm it for your date.
Who pays for the meal at the restaurant?
You pay the restaurant directly for your meal, as you would on land. The charter rate covers the yacht, captain and crew. Anything served on board, such as catering, drinks or decorations, is separate and itemized in your quote.
